A story is told about a soldier who was finally coming home after having fought in Vietnam.
He called his parents from San Francisco.

"Mom and Dad, I'm coming home, but I've a favour to ask. I have a friend I'd like to bring home with me."

'Sure," they replied, "we'd love to meet him."

"There's something you should know the son continued, "he was hurt pretty badly in the fighting. He stepped on a land mind and lost an arm and a leg. He has nowhere else to go, and I want him to come live with us."

"I'm sorry to hear that, son. Maybe we can help him find somewhere to live."

"No, Mom and Dad, I want him to live with us."

"Son," said the father, "you don't know what you're asking. Someone with such handicap would be a terrible burden on us. We have our own lives to live, and we can't let something like this interfere with our lives. I think you should just come home and forget about this guy. He'll find a way to live on his own."

At that point, the son hung up the phone. The parents heard nothing more from him. A few days later, however, they received a call from the San Francisco police. Their son had died after falling from a building, they were told. The police believed it was suicide. The grief-stricken parents flew to San Francisco and were taken to the city morgue to identify the body of their son. They recognised him, but to their horror they also discovered something they didn't know, their son had only one arm and one leg.

Ok i know there are many ppl tinks tat band is takin up their time too much. Yes i agree to it. BUT joining BAND is not joining those crap cca's we ave in sch. Band is something that is changing ur life, style and everything, so u gotta accept it. Joining band is ez BUT quiting band will b very xi ku. Plus next year [2007] will b the band SYF liao. We r currently aiming "GOLD WITH HONOUR". And i can BET that u will suffer ALOT MORE if ur currently disliking Band. If u still do enjoying band, congrats u wun suffer that much but u will still aving alot of stress. So b prepared. Im so called a "gou lai ren" i've participated the SYF 1 year ago and obtaining a "GOLD AWARD" in SYF is super duper stressing n saddening. Stressing is bcus of MUSIC. It's where we gotta put our feelins into the music to produce the final product to the judges. And MUSICALITY is not EZ to b OBTAINED. Saddening is bcus of the members. Alot of them cant take the stress and was struggling through those period of time. Until 1 day teachers bo bian and finally let them quit. AND I CAN CONFIRM IS THAT "GOLD WITH HONOUR AND GOLD IS A VERY BIG DIFFERET AWARD" So pls AMKSS BAND. Stop being a playful kid and start to b a mature teen. I noe it's hard but pls try! Nothing is impossible. I know the current band is having lots of problem and i hope that those problem will slowly dissolve throughout the few mths b4 Year 2007.

Ok next is the dancer we have in band [DEVOLUSION]
Those dancer are: xue qi, carin, hanxuan,joycelin,marcusleong,marcusmark,peiyu,ruishan. Ya i tink this few. i tink i didnt miss out anyone.

SERIOUSLY im very de FAN DUI u all to dance lar. Cus ur my fellow band members. I dun wanna see the band getting Bronze or Silver or even COP in SYF 2007 [and im not li yong-ing u all cus all of u r very important in the band]. Most of u r the potential ones. As u noe BAND is a very ta ma de cca to u all lar. Cus it's taking up alot of time. No time to shoppin, hanging around wit ur friends and more... Yea i FULLY understand. BUT if u really wnt to dance, pls dun let dance affect band. Cus frm my feelin, i can tell tat my section de joycelin n marcus leong is not tat enthu as last time liao. And i noe they r loving DANCE more n more n more. So pls draw a line between BAND n DANCE. Dun b so selfish towards band. And pls remember, BAND is a CCA and DANCE is not a CCA YET. And i can tell u tat the biggest problem in the band now is the 8 of u the DANCER. So PLS CHANGE!.

Day 1:
taught thejuniors some drills followed by ensembles. quite fun but i dun really like sight reading. slept at around 1.30am cus there's a section tlk frm 12.30am - 1.30am [ i tink so??]
Day 2:
Suppppppppper tired n stressing day. my eyes really cant take it anymore at night around 12+ and the alumni and teachers is giving some tlk to the band but im really very tired by then. dam stresssss wit the command. PC is really difficult to be. but anyway everything is over ! :D
Day 3:
Wake up dammm early wa... i pull myself up frm my bed.. really buay tahan. cus i tink i slept at around 2am wake up at 6am. 1 eye small 1 eye big. thn had rehersals. im ok wit the command liao only tat the actual POP is very scary. scared shout wrongly stuff like this. and BEST SECTION Is OURS !!!!!!! [ FLUTE SECTION !!!!!! ] hahahaha heheheheheh woooooo ahhhhhh yayyyyy yipeeeeee all my hard work for the past 1 year didnt went to waste. :D keep it up ! best cadet is xiaomao aka cat aka ru hua aka CHAI WEE TING! [LOL the way she march is so funny LOL] best recruit is FOK DAN HUI [ hahahahahaaaa congratz man !] Best section in 2008 ar hehe. work harder ! dun stress urself toooooooo much ! keep up the gd work !

yo! tmr drills pract z.. scare shout wrong commands very xiasway de. 2 more days to band camp thn passing out parade. well.. the sec 4's and 5's r graduating yea.. so.. "When a senior leaves the band and your juniors is letting you down. It's not your juniors fault but the seniors fault." haha just created this sentence. i tink it's very meaningful and true. juniors look up to seniors. if senior did not set a gd example, ur junior will b the same as u. yi dai chuan yi dai. so seniors must not hate or dislike anybody when leaving. seniors shld not blame anyone but themselves for not doing their part well. after POP i tink i will feel much better cus im leaving my burden to my juniors. :)

weeeeeeee... just came back frm sentosa. brought back lots of sand. o.O... BHF was so FUN... although it was hot when we're playin for the 45mins small concert but all of us enjoy it !! yea !!! hehe... and our band is very enthu when it come to marching.. wee... after the parade we waited for bus. yan ling is so keeeewl. she bought us drinks and i share it wit my section haha. all of us [flute section] are carryin perc equips lol. so ke lian so i get them some water to drink. hehe.. after tat just run around tlkin wit ppl. dan hui keep sayin tat shes taller thn the mace. yea mayb when she dig the mace into the sand lar.. lol JK hehe. after tat went to take bus. xiang yun is so scare of ghosts. lol me n yi fang keep ji siao-ing her. thn after tat we stopped and i went to sleep. after dimissal frm band sally,shu yi, dan hui, ling hui, peiye and who else sorry forgot.. went to mac to take our dinner. haha soon... xue li tat gang came and i went over to tlk rot lolz. after tat went home wit selena. Balloon Hat Festival Rocks :D ... My last time participating BHF wooohooooooo :D

this is so saddening... i shall not turn up for any band pract or sectionals after "Passing Out Parade". cus the band makes me feel worried n scared. and even worse, it had already affect my section. i tot this will nt happen to me again but history repeat. mayb this is wot ppl say "yi dai chuan yi dai" haha... this mth is really a super bad mth for me. everything just screwed up. band , class , family... sian...... haiz mayb im old liao.. cant understand and accept everything that just happened. this really make ppl life hard. so i've come to a solution to end this problem. i will just pour all the negative thinking..etc.. to myself and not others. so life wld b happier. sorry but this is all i can do. sorry for the past.

im vomiting blood rite now bcus of this stupid korean show im watching... watch liao very pek chek LOL. agrrrrrrrrrrrrr.......! actually i find this show quite nice but end up vomiting blooood LoL.. anyway i love korean show hehe..
today went PTC o.O pass all my subject.. hehe quite happp.y.. except teacher saying tat i was lazy, like to sleep in class. lol very true bcus some lessosn are so boooooooooooooorin. so why nt sleep and save up my extra energy for another lesson which r more interesting.. after tat went to band and rot..

haiz... im feelin so sway this mth... family prob... band prob... studies too... sian... now i know life isnt as easy as i thought 2 years ago.. haha.. 2 years ago i was like a happy-go-lucky person wit no worries.. i miss those days. well i can only remember them in my heart. hmm..

Band prob -> hmm... actually alot.. cant finish typing how am i feelin with just a few sentences. hmm ok.. i called cheryl clarinet SL. shes like so ke lian haiz... ave to kao herself to stand up and all SL shld b strong, for cheryl it's a different case she gotta b stronger thn the rest of the SL's. well anyway.. sorry cheryl tat i cant help much and i really feel very upset. cus i noe how ur feelin rite now.. dun ave to cry over the same thing cus it will nt work de.. just try to ao gou qu ba.. jia you!!! ;)
Studies prob -> i hate maths + science... haiz... remedials during june holis.. good luck to me. gonna chiong for it ;)

long time no blog... hmm just came back frm band chalet. im soooooo tired n sleepy. once i got onto the bus i fall asleep. luckily i manage to auto wake up to alight the stop. i slept at around 4am+ yesterday.. stupid air con is freaking cold and i ave to curl up like a pang xie aka prawn. body ache in the morning. gettin sick soon. sianzz..

some ppl said they r bored of band and stuff like this. dun understand why they r feelin this way mayb of the ppl in band ?? hmm.. i'll nvr noe.. cant read ppl's heart. anway i find this childish n draggy. since u lost interest in band why not tell the teachers abt this or even quit the band if u can. wot for stayin in band and waste ur energy to think of ways dislking band and psycho the members to get influenced by u. pls spare a thought for ur band b4 speaking out certain issues. i find this stupid n dumb. do u tink people like to hold u back. sorry the answer is no. for ppl like me ,if i met this kind of person i wld rather this person leave the band cus it wld affect me from liking n enjoying more in band.

agrhh so darn stress n tired...... im tryin very hard to cope......... zzzzzzzz. how i wish i can sleep all day. aiya nvm lar after esplanade concert i will b steppin down mwahahahah. finally it's time for me to relax and concentrate on my studies liao. hope to get a gd course in ITE :D. i will 100% work super dam hard for my "N" level wooooohoooo =] im ready for it !

Sec 1 orientation camp is killing me and now im sick Zzzz.. Dam it.. So sway im in-charge of Sec 1D actually they are quite ok but only some arshole keep fooling around and i was so irritated by them and keep shouting non stop until my voice almost gone. i really need more sleep and my back is aching badly, i cant sit straight at all and im aving a fever now.. hope i can get well by tmr :D. Hmm.. anyway my class won best performance so not bad lar and some girls from 1D offer to massage for me omg so touched... lol.. haha thanks anyway. after everything i went to mac wit cybil aka Maria the maid and rui shan and had our lunch hmm? and i spilled my MILO on the floor omg.. so sway... sorry maria i spilled some milo on ur shoes LOL,. dam funny. after tat we went home. once i stepped into my house, i put down my bag and everything and just lay on my sofa n slept -,-'' too tired..

band pract was so fun today... haha "sabai sabai" all the flautist will shake the flute up down left and right lol and play high G all the way till the end lolz... dam funny.. the whole score was like a black sheet of paper i cant see wot the wrote and the notes has got weird keys. Monday - Friday band pract 9am - 6pm o.O tired till siao ..zzzzzzz.. good luck for our trip =]]

haiz.. tired+stress+my grandfather just passed away this friday...quite sad but i didnt cry.. trying to make myself happy by listening to music recently haha.. going to bangkok le but i duno wot to pack for the trip.. i've listen to many types of howl's moving castle and all of them are very nice. after listening to them, i felt that the music is taking me to a place where it's calm and peaceful. hahaz... how i wish i could live in there for my whole entire life lol... but this will never ever happen unless your dead. haha.. hmm.. next year sec 4 liao so fast... leaving amkss soon o.O

omg today so sway, i dropped my instrument and owe jonathan 160 push-ups actually 80 only but im committee so it's times 2 agrrrrr........... just did 80 today and my arms r like jelly right now so probably have to wait till nxt week to finish up my 80 push-ups. i hate today's assembly bcus everything is like a rush to me.

today, my class and i went for bowling at tampines SAFRA. well... we are the last class to reach there again. the place was really kool and nice. first we got into groups of 7 and the instructors keep teaching and talking non-stop for about 1 hour and i was quite irritated by them. as if we dunno how to play and keen to learn bowlin like tat. just use our "san jiao mao gong fu" can liao wot waste ppl time only.. i was so lan at the begining and keep scoring 0's.. so diu nian leh... thn after that more daring liao thn scored better liao so was quite happy abt it after that i saw elaine n jessic was having their breakfast on the table so i went over and asked them how was pro they play and they told me they scored 5 points only thn after 5 - 10 mins they announced the winner. and i was shocked that jessic and elaine's team had won a trophy. lol.. after that i had sectionals with my section on technicals and it was quite bad lar and i spent like 1 - 1 an a half hr on that after which i asked them to play Estampie [dunno correct spellin or not] and it was quite badly done bcus we got messed up with certain parts.
